2013 Selected Schools

Listed below is the Illinois PBIS Network's 2013 Selected Schools list. These schools, along with the Illinois PBIS Network, invite you to visit and personally experience the successful impact of PBIS. The following criterion was used to determine the schools to be included in the list:

Schools must:

• • • • • • • Be nominated by Illinois PBIS Network staff

            • Exhibit a school climate representative of PBIS implementation

            • Show evidence of systems acknowledging positive student behaviors

            • Exhibit school staff participation in PBIS systems and supports

In early March 2013, all Illinois Legislators received a personal letter about the PBIS initiative and an invitation to visit selected schools in their legislative district (click here for a sample letter). The letter included copies of "The Impact of PBIS in Schools”, an information sheet summarizing the successful, research-based outcomes of PBIS implementation (click here to access the Impact sheet), and the 2013 Selected Schools list.
