Description: The purpose of this course is to introduce the basic roles and responsibilities of the Building-based Coach to effectively coordinate and lead school teams through the process of school-wide positive behavioral support systems. Topics include:

The Building-based Coach
Where Are We Going: Action Planning
PBIS Big Ideas
The Universal Team
Outcomes:
Identification of the primary roles and responsibilities of the Building-based Coach for implementation of school-wide positive behavior support systems.
Guided practice using the Multi-Tiered Action Plan (MAP).
Identification of the basic concepts of positive behavior support systems.
Discussion of Tier 1/Universal Team membership, roles & responsibilities, and team meeting process.
Brief overview of pbisassessment.org and pbisillinois.org websites
Who Should Participate: Building-based Coaches, District-based Coaches, Administrators
Participants Should Bring: Laptops and/or printed copies of training materials.
