Training Description
 Prerequisite: Designated by LEA as District-based Coach for  positive behavior support Duration: 1 day (6 hours), followed by TA call
 Requirement: Core Credit: CPDU, CEU

Description: The purpose of this course is to introduce the basic roles and responsibilities of the District-based Coach needed to effectively coordinate and lead teams through the process of implementing schoolwide positive behavioral support systems and to introduce related strategies and resources. Objectives include:
  • Identify the primary roles and responsibilities of the District-based Coach for implementation of schoolwide positive behavior support systems
  • Discuss and practice strategies for coordination, evaluation, technical assistance, and training tasks performed by a District-based Coach
  • Practice navigating the Illinois PBIS website
