1st Annual Mid-Atlantic PBIS Network Tier I Team Professional Learning Event

The Mid-Atlantic PBIS Network at Sheppard Pratt Health System is pleased to announce the 1st Annual Tier I Team Professional Learning Event to launch our most current Tier I curriculum aligned with contemporary research in the field of PBIS and MTSS. Experts in the field of PBIS will host a two-day, interactive training and pre-training webinar, event focused on developing, implementing, and sustaining a Tier I system of PBIS. Unique features of this professional learning event include:
Curriculum aligned with the Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI)
Core features of the Tier I system
Emphasis on supporting classroom systems
Examples of integrating social emotional learning
Dedicated team planning time within each module
Advanced preparation for building administrators and Tier I coordinator/coaches
Who should attend:
New PBIS/MTSS or School Climate Teams (k-12)*: new teams interested in receiving state-of-the-art training on how to best develop, implement, and sustain a comprehensive Tier I system of support.
Existing PBIS/MTSS or School Climate Teams (k-12)*: existing teams interested in revising current practices and aligning with best-practice approaches to supporting classroom systems and integrating social and emotional learning.
District Coaches and/or Trainers: interested in learning new approaches to supporting local coaches and teams.
*Guidelines on Team Membership:
Team membership should include: building administrator, Tier I team lead, individuals with behavioral expertise and coaching expertise, and representation of staff across grade levels/content areas, and include general and special education representation (approximately 5-8 people).
Be sure to check with your State guidelines on team membership.
Pre-training Leadership Webinar

In order to achieve the maximum benefit of the two day training event, the building administrator, team lead, and coach from each team should attend the attend the 1 hour pre-training leadership webinar. This brief webinar will prepare administrators and Tier I team leaders to engage teams and facilitate some of the team break-out planning time. Join us live! If you are unable to attend the live session, will send a link of the recording to all registered building administrators and team leads.
